Why it is an operating system, not a platform
Every graded answer becomes a permanent record, linked to the exact curriculum topic it tested. Wrong answers count as much as right ones — they are where learning is diagnosed. The database itself refuses edits and deletions.
Topics are connected by prerequisite relationships, each one approved by a person and recorded with its reasoning. When a learner fails, the system can point at the concept underneath the failure instead of repeating the same topic.
Every mastery figure is computed from the evidence ledger and rebuildable from it. Delete the mastery table and we can reconstruct it exactly from what learners did. Nothing is claimed that cannot be shown.
Curriculum-true, not curriculum-flavoured
The PYP is an inquiry framework with no external papers, so we don’t pretend it has them. Concept-driven practice on the mathematics and science strands, reported as descriptors — never a grade the programme doesn’t award.
Criterion-assessed on A to D and reported on the 1–7 scale. Mathematics and the sciences, in the MYP’s own language rather than a translated approximation.
